Lavender Blues (2022)
Lavender Blues is an altered 12-bar blues in Db Dorian originally played as a cool medium swing. The Neapolitan chord substitutes for the IV7 chord and the ii-V-I is replaced with a modal gesture, giving the blues a more epic and spacey feel. This tune of mine is the one I have performed the most. It fits well into any set.
NOTICE: Purchase includes lead sheets (bass, Bb, Eb) and 3-horn (tpt, ts, tbn) arrangement.
